Well, I graduate from Washburn tomorrow. I'm rather excited. I dropped out of high school 23 years ago. Got my GED early...before my graduating class graduated. But put my dreams on hold to raise my 3 kids. Going to law school in August. Finally getting the chance to realize my dreams. I hope I do well. I've heard it said that if you don't succeed the first year of law school, then you're not cut out to be a lawyer. Guess I'll find out, huh?
I have 2 grandbabies; one is 10 months, the other is almost 2 months. They are so sweet. The oldest is a comedian. He's going to get into a lot of trouble...I can see it coming. The younger is still to little to determine his personality. However, he does seem to be a serious sort. I think he's going to be the one that will charm the ladies. I just need a few more grandbabies and my life will be complete.

Barak Obama
I'm not an Obama fan, but when he had to apologize for calling a reporter "sweetie," there's something wrong. It's not defamatory. It's not an insult. It's not sexual in nature. It's a term. It's not even a term reserved for females. I call people sweetie. I call people doll. Doesn't mean a thing. In this politically correct world we live in now, our First Amendment rights are being squashed. We have to weigh our words before we say them for fear of "offending" someone. Give me a break! People need to quit being so sensitive. There is a place for sensitivity. Being gentle when someone is hurting, for example. But a term "sweetie"???? Good grief!!!
